Diablo Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Diablo, California.
The Diablo Country Club Golf Course opened in 1914. 23-year-old, two-time California Amateur champion Jack Neville designed the original nine holes at Diablo, it was his first golf course design. His next course design was Pebble Beach (Calif.) Golf Links.
In 1920, William Watson designed the second nine at Diablo, crafting most of Neville’s original holes into a new 18-hole course. Watson’s next two designs were at The Olympic Club and Harding Park, both in nearby San Francisco.
Robert Muir Graves remodeled two holes in 1964.
More recently, (2019) the course underwent a $12 million renovation by golf course architect Todd Eckenrode.
A key aspect of the renovation was to maintain the original routing of the golf course so that Diablo’s members can play the layout the way it was intended to be played more than a century ago.
Diablo Country Club's course, on over 120 acres of land, is recognized as one of the most desirable courses to play in the San Francisco Bay Area. The course has demanding greens, tough par 3's, and challenging bunkers. Included within the layout are five holes recognized as the best string of holes in the Bay Area. The course is designed for both walkers and carts and features views of the surrounding countryside, including the spectacular Mt. Diablo nearby.
Diablo Country Club has served as host to the US Amateur Qualifier, as well as, the US Senior Open.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,573 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,635 yards and plays to a par-72. The longest hole on the course is # 5, a par-5 that plays to 540 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 147 yards from the back tees.

Very nice traditional course (1914)with a few quirky holes, especially the 18th (the "Pachinko" hole). Always a pleasure to play this one.

Solid course with nice feeling and ambiance-- a "relaxing" course without being easy. Excellent fast green conditions.
